Reviews and Ratings
This hotel had a mix of positives and negatives during my stay. The room was quite spacious with an additional bedroom and a big bathroom, but it had some issues like being drafty, lacking heating, and having noise from the extractor fan. The service was overall friendly and welcoming, but there were some minor hiccups with missing basic commodities. The location was convenient for exploring York city center and had easy access to amenities, although it was not perfect for noise levels. The dining options were decent with a good variety, but there were slight issues with food quality and service.
The hotel was in a convenient location, within walking distance to the city center. The rooms, although lacking a festive atmosphere, were spacious and very clean, suitable for a fussy eater. The service was exceptional, with friendly and helpful staff in all areas. The dining experience, while good, had room for improvement. Overall, a comfortable stay with great value for money.
The hotel had spotless rooms with comfortable beds, plenty of breakfast options, and very helpful and friendly staff. However, some rooms had no means of escape as the window was painted shut, and breakfast space could be limited at times.
Being in the courtyard felt like a new experience apart from the main building, which was fabulous, quirky, and super spacious. The room was nice and warm, although I had to call the staff to hoover dust from under the beds. I would definitely go back for the comfy stay.
I found this hotel to be conveniently located, just a short walk from the city center. The rooms were a bit outdated and lacking soundproofing, which made for some discomfort. The staff, however, were incredibly helpful and kind. The dining experience left something to be desired, with some dishes poorly cooked and not worth the extra charges. The location offers easy access to many attractions in York, making it suitable for exploring the city.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms in the annex building were in need of maintenance, but my four-poster bed was clean and comfortable. The service was excellent, especially with accommodating my mother in a wheelchair. The location was stylish and inviting, though a bit further from the center than expected. The dining options were good, but there were initial issues with breakfast service. Despite some drawbacks, I appreciated the amenities and atmosphere.
My stay at the hotel was overall pleasant. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, making it a nice place to spend a week. The service from the staff was exceptional, especially with their flexibility and helpfulness. The location was convenient, although there were some minor issues like smoke blowing into the room. The dining experience was enjoyable with freshly cooked meals, although replenishment could be improved. The facilities were adequate and added to the overall experience.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The room I had was massive with a double and a single bed, but it felt cramped with limited space to move around, especially in the shower and toilet area. The courtyard room was chilly over the weekend. Despite these drawbacks, the location was great, providing a quieter atmosphere while still being just a 15-20 minute walk to the city center. The dining options were lovely and varied, although the absence of breakfast for the price was a downside.
I stayed at this hotel and found it to be a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, although clean and comfortable, were in serious need of an update. The service, on the other hand, was excellent, with staff acting promptly to address our concerns. The location, close to the center of York and with an Art Deco style, was appealing but didn't fully justify the higher price. The dining experience had some organizational issues, but the quality of the produce was good.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The room I had was enormous and beautifully decorated with all the amenities I needed; however, the air conditioning was not working as advertised, and the hotel didn't seem bothered about it. On the upside, the staff were keen and helpful with queries, making the overall stay pleasant.
